The kids finished watching Super Why on PBS; there's Wyatt, Princess P, Little Red Riding Hood, and Pig (yes, he's a pig).
Alex: "I bet when they grow up Super Why (Wyatt) marries Princess P and Pig marries Red."
Me: "Pig can't marry Red, they're not the same species."
Tala: "Mommy, I'm hungry. I want species. I like those Mommy, I want species!"
Me: lmbo

- Later, making a list of a few groceries we need-
Hubby: "More fruit."
Me: "No, we have lots of apples and oranges left."
Hubby: "I want to get some more strawberries."
Me: "You guys need to eat what we have first."
Tala: "It's ok, we'll buy you some more strawberries in the morning, ok Daddy?"
Hubby: "Ok baby."
Tala: "Right Mommy?"
Me: -trying not to laugh- "Noooo."

On the 12th day of Christmas...

Happiness (HAP-ee-ness) - Noun. 1) A rosy-cheeked girl sipping cocoa after playing in the snow with her mother 2) A woman with wet, dirty shoe-prints on the floor she just mopped yesterday, wet gloves & shoes blocking the heater, cold legs, and a wet butt, who doesn't care a bit because she has a joyful heart at being the mother of that rosy-cheeked little girl.

We threw snowballs at each other, slid down the little hill on our backsides, made snow angels, and built a teeny tiny baby snowman. Depending on what Alex wants to do and whether or not he had recess at school, we may all 3 go out after he gets home.

The Taper saves the day again

Tala comes out of the bedroom from her nap, climbs on my lap and says "Mommy I fixed the cord." I go into uh-oh mode... "Did you mess up a cord?" "It's ok I taped it." "You taped a cord?" "Yeah because the other piece fell down on the ground."

Somehow the AV cable connecting the DVD/VCR to the TV in my room (she was napping on my bed, and it's my old college TV so the AV connection is only in the front, thus access to the cord) cracked in half clean through. I've never seen that happen before. She took a piece of scotch tape and sort of stuck it back together, lol. Time for a new AV cable and to try finding a better way to keep the cord out of the way.

A note from a little later: Charles says it looks like the cable cracked from age when something tugged it hard enough, so maybe Tala hooked an arm in it? Who knows...
