"Please Mommy? Please, please, plee-plee-please, plee-plee-plee-plee-pleeeeease Mommy." For this, we went outside at 9:20 in the morning to play in snow. It's 34ยบ F but somehow the snow is holding on and still coming down. Hopefully now they won't be so wound up later when it's time to sit quietly in the ballet. Tala got her socks on and I told her she needs her snow suit on before her shoes, so she lead me to the basement door, told me "I'll show you where it is," opened the door, told me "Turn on the light," I did, and she pointed to where it used to hang for a long time (it was Alex's once upon a time) and said "It's over dere." So I told her "Well it used to be, but I moved it." So I retrieved it, put it on her, and she helped get her shoes on.
We spent almost an hour out there in the snow. It was so fun, even being pummeled with snowballs by Alex when I had to stop to catch my breath during our little battle, lol. Tala decided "Mommy, I can't make a snow man wiffout help from you," so she picked a spot, Alex brought over toy dump trucks full of snow for us, and we built a small snowman. Alex found sticks for the arms and a nice leaf for a tongue sticking out, Tala found twigs for the eyes, and I picked a clump of berries from the honeysuckle for the nose. It's been a good morning. :-)
