This is a place for me to ramble and save funny quotes or stories from the kids. :-)

Bring on the Ballet!
We got there just in time to be seated and once we got past the "I'm hungry, I'm thirsty," from kids who had just had lunch right before we walked out the door, they did ok. I won't say they did great, but it wasn't really any more than typical fidgeting & wiggling on Alex's part. At first Tala wanted to stand on the floor in front of her seat and dance too, so I had to convince her that she needed to sit down and she could dance in the lobby during intermission (which she actually did for a minute). She wanted to comment and question through the whole thing, but she stayed quiet enough that the grandma sitting in front of us didn't get TOO annoyed. ;-)
The ballet itself was, of course, wonderful. The dancers were fantastic and the crowd was mostly families with kids so it was fun to hear all of them laugh, clap, and gasp at different parts. Tala LOVED applauding with everyone and insisted I clap too even if I had my hands full with her bottled water and her, but I did my best. :-)
The kids both said they really liked it, and Rusty was waiting for us in the lobby when it was over. We walked to the Christmas trains so the kids could see them, and by the time we left Tala was well beyond needing a nap and we carried Miss Meltdown to the car. Since I couldn't take pictures in the ballet I took a couple short videos (no flash that way) to pull stills out of, and took pics of the kids out in the lobby. You can tell Tala was getting tired because I couldn't really get her to smile for me. I'll get those uploaded later and add a couple to this entry. All in all, it was a very good day. :-)
